When purchasing a prom dress or suit, the sizing can be confusing and the experience is daunting.

You can rest assured I will help you if your prom outfit doesn’t fit exactly as you want so you can blow everyone away with how amazing you look on one of your most important days.

When quoting prom outfit alteration pricing during our consultation with you, I use my years of experience working with similar pieces to estimate the time I’ll spend on each step. This prevents me from having flat-rate pricing but allows me to truly tailor your alterations cost based on the difficulty of what I’m altering.

My goal using this method of pricing is to ensure you’re not overcharged for what may result in a simple alteration that has a higher flat-rate price at other alteration shops.

No matter what you need done, we can do it! From embellishments to large adjustments, there’s not much we can’t do!

No prom dress is the same, so why should there be a flat rate to alter them? I charge $85/hr for prom gown alterations which make it easy to track.

PROM SUIT ALTERATIONS

Almost all prom suit alterations are the same as regular suit alterations — no upcharges just because of the event!

Common prom suit & separate alterations

BODY TAPER

Tapering the body of the jacket to fit snugly around your body for a more flattering look. This also applies to letting out, which will give you more room through the body.

ARM TAPER

Tapering of the sleeve of a jacket to give a better fit, or loosening them to provide more comfort.

SLEEVE LENGTH

When you need your sleeves lengthened or shortened to fit your arms perfectly.

FUNCTIONAL BUTTONHOLES

A service I take great pride in is recreating buttonholes by hand. Price is for each buttonhole and exclusive of lengthening or shortening.

PANT HEM

Need your pants lengthened or shortened so your ankles don’t show but your shoes do?

LEG TAPER

Tapering the legs on a trouser through the inseam or the outseam to give a slimmer and more flattering look. Or let them out to give a bit of comfort!

PANT WAIST

Let out or take in the wait and seat to give more room or tighten them up a bit so your belt isn’t doing all the work.

WAISTCOAT TAPER

Tapering the body of the waistcoat for a tighter and more flattering fit, or releasing some of the excess seam to give more room.

HEM LENGTH

Most prom gowns need the length adjusted because manufacturers never know what style or height shoe you’re going to wear. I fix that!

TAPER THE BACK

Need your prom dress to fit a bit tighter in the waist for comfort so you don’t feel like it’s going to fall down? Or is your prom gown too tight and need adjustment?

ADDING CUPS

The addition of cups to your gown allows you to feel more secure at the bust, and sometimes prevents the need for other more costly alterations.

REPAIRS

A significant amount of prom gowns and dresses I see per year have either a rip, tear, or hook and eye that needs replacing.
