What wedding tailoring costs.
Every suit and tuxedo is cut from a pattern drafted for your body. The final price depends on the cloth you choose, from quality imported cloth up to Holland & Sherry, VBC and Caccioppoli, and you'll know it before anything is cut.

Every wedding tuxedo commission covers the following, so there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
- Pattern built from your own measurements, never a stock size
- Jacket with satin or grosgrain lapel facing in peak, shawl, or notch
- Matching trousers with satin or grosgrain side braid
- Working button cuffs (surgeon's cuffs) on jacket sleeves
- Choice of cloth: midnight navy, black barathea, ivory, or custom selection
- Interior suspender buttons fitted as standard

Your wedding suit goes into every album, every framed print, every slideshow someone puts together for an anniversary, and the fit in those photographs is permanent: the way the lapel rolls, how the jacket sits across the back, how the trousers break at the shoe. A suit made for you gets all of it right. A rental is made for a night nobody plans to remember, and yours is not that night.
A custom tuxedo or wedding suit is built around your exact body. The shoulder pitch, the chest suppression, the rise of the trouser, all of it calibrated to how you stand. You will look different in photographs than you have ever looked in anything off-the-rack, not because we did something unusual, but because the garment was made for you and not for a statistical average.
For Southwest Florida weddings (outdoor ceremonies, beachside venues, the inevitable humidity) fabric selection is not a cosmetic decision. We steer grooms toward lightweight wools and breathable tropical blends that hold their line in the heat and look clean for twelve hours of photographs, toasts, and dancing. A rental does not offer that guidance. We do.

Questions about wedding tailoring.
How far in advance should I book for a wedding?
Start four to six months out. Your first appointment is for measuring and choosing cloth, then comes the final fitting, with time to adjust before the date. If your date is less than 10 weeks away, text me first: Thunder (about 3 weeks) and Lightning (2 weeks) rush options may still work. A rush costs extra: $225 for Thunder or $415 for Lightning on a two-piece tuxedo.
Can you outfit the entire wedding party?
Yes. We can build coordinated looks for the groom, groomsmen, fathers, and any other members of the party. Each person is fitted individually. We do not use the same pattern across different bodies. Coordinated styling means everyone looks intentional together without looking identical.
Is a custom tuxedo worth it versus renting?
A rented tuxedo is yours for one night and goes back the next day. A custom tuxedo starts at $1,245, and across our mid-range cloths the average is about $2,045. The math shifts quickly if you wear black tie more than twice. Beyond economics: a rented tuxedo is cut for an average body. A custom one is built for yours and will photograph well for the rest of your life. The wedding pictures will still exist in 30 years.
What's the difference between a tuxedo and a suit for a wedding?
A tuxedo has satin or grosgrain facings on the lapels, buttons, and trouser stripe: formal details that signal black tie. A suit does not. For black-tie weddings, a tuxedo is correct. For cocktail or semi-formal weddings, a dark suit often fits better. We will tell you honestly which is right for your event and help you make the call.
