He asked for a performance suit. I talked him out of it.
A guy came in wanting a breathable suit, and he wanted a performance fabric.
I told him no. In my experience performance fabrics make you sweat, and in Florida heat they hold the smell in. Good wool doesn’t.
So we made him a Hardy Minnis fresco suit. It resists wrinkles, it’s very breathable, and I half-lined the back with Bemberg lining so air keeps moving through it.
He got married in it. Later he messaged me. Everyone else was sweating bullets. He was still sweating outside, because it’s Florida, but he felt a breeze come through that suit like he never had before.
Fit, finish and breathability. Those are the three things Fort Myers clients ask me about most, so that’s what I build around.
Nothing off the rack fits.
Sleeves too long, shoulders too wide, waist too loose. I build your pattern from your measurements and your posture, so the shoulders, sleeves and waist all work together. It stays on file, so reordering is easy.
You don’t have time to shop.
So don’t. Most of the time I fit you at my studio downtown. I also go to law offices and other offices, or your home. The first appointment takes an hour to an hour and a half. After that I handle the rest.

Where is your studio?
It’s at 1617 Hendry Street, Suite 208, in the historic Bradford Block in downtown Fort Myers. It’s by appointment only, so I can’t see walk-ins. Request a time and I’ll confirm it personally.
Do you come to my home or office in Fort Myers?
Yes. I go to law offices and other offices, and I’ll come to your home too. I bring the cloth and measure you there. Most of the time clients come to my studio downtown.
How long does a custom suit take?
Made to measure takes 6 to 8 weeks, handmade to measure 8 to 10 and American Made 12 to 14. If you’re short on time, made to measure has two rush options for an extra fee. Text me before you book.
How much does a custom suit cost?
A made to measure two-piece suit starts at $1,095 and a three-piece at $1,195. Handmade starts at $2,145 and American Made at $3,490. The cloth you pick moves the price, and I tell you the exact number before anything is cut.
Where do I park at the studio?
Street parking is paid, or use the Denison parking garage right near the building. Check the posted rates when you pull in.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
A jacket or shirt that fits you well, if you have one, and the date of your event if there is one. That’s all.
What do you make besides suits?
Suits and shirts are what most Fort Myers clients ask for. I also make jeans, from $499, and custom t-shirts. T-shirts start at $125 in regular cotton and $150 in pima.
