A signature monogram puts your own handwriting on your shirt. Instead of block initials, the stitching follows your signature, or a short word or phrase that you write out yourself. It is a small detail that nobody else has.
How it works
- You write what you want on a piece of paper. Your signature is the most common choice. A short word or phrase works too.
- I scan it.
- I upload the scan to my digitizer, which turns your handwriting into a stitch file.
- Your shirt is made, and the monogram is stitched in the place and color you chose.
Where it goes
You can have it on the cuff, on the chest, or on the body of the shirt. The cuff is the quietest choice and shows when you reach for something or adjust your jacket. The chest is more visible. We talk it through at your fitting, and I show you the options on a shirt.
Colors
The thread comes in 20 colors, from a tone-on-tone shade that you only notice up close to a bold contrast. The chart below is a guide. Screens change how colors look, so I bring the real thread chart to your fitting and you can hold the colors against your cloth.
What it costs
A standard monogram, such as your initials, comes with your shirt at no charge. A signature monogram is a custom stitch file made from your handwriting, and it normally costs $30.
New clients get a free signature monogram on their first shirt order while the offer is running. Request a fitting and, if the offer is open, it is applied to your request.
A few tips
- Write it the way you want it to look. The stitching follows your hand.
- Keep it short. A signature or a few words stitches cleanly. Long phrases get small.
- Use a pen that makes a clear, dark line.
- A signature monogram is available on shirts only.
